The final spirit week of the 2023-24 school year was held to celebrate the Spring activities at BHS. Student Council officers Maddie Ann and Kenley organized the entertainment of the Spring Fling pep assembly and had the student body engaged in many fun activities. The seniors took the opportunity to take the stage and lead their final school song.
The annual swing dance day, held during Spring Fling Week, was a great way for students to take a break from the classroom on Friday. Thanks English department for providing time to learn an essential Wyoming skill.
Buffalo High School's Art Department has 48 students compete in the 56th Annual Art Symposium at the Casper Ford Wyoming Center. Our 48 students showed 124 pieces and they brought home 29 ribbons.
The highlight of the symposium was the selection of Jo James' print which was selected for a Congressional Award. Only twenty five 2D works of the 4,721 were selected. Congratulations to our talented art students and their instructor, Steve Heil.
Congratulations to BHS art student, Joanna James, whose monoprint named "Tranquility" was selected to hang in our state Congresswomen’s office in D.C. for the next year. Only four students from Wyoming had their work selected to hang in Washington, DC. Her beautiful work was created in Steve Heil's printmaking class. Congratulations to both of you!
