BHS band and choir members who were selected to the Northeast District honor bands and choirs performed at Campbell County High School under the direction of guest conductors from around the country. Congratulations students and Directors Tyna Bennett and Skylah Bree!
CONGRATULATIONS to Lady Bison seniors Isobell Kerckaert and Grace Finkle for being named to the 2024 3A East Absaraka All-Conference team this season. Grace Finkle also received honors from the Wyoming Coaches Association and was named to the 2024 3A All-State team - Go Lady Bison!
Buffalo Student Council was represented well at the annual State Student Council Convention (WASC) this week in Riverton. Buffalo student leaders participated in and executed leadership workshops while building relationships with students and other councils across Wyoming. Buffalo STUCO received Honor Council with Meritorious Distinction (highest honors) for 2024-2025.
Congratulations to Jaxon Sutton for receiving All State Student Council and Taylin Hatch for receiving the Hidden Hero Award! BHS STUCO was also presented with a new award in memory of Mrs. Songer called the Tiffany Songer Award which recognizes a council who embodies Kindness, Strength and Generosity. Well done, BHS STUCO and Advisor Grace Hancock!!
In Recognition of Service - Jan Johnson and Marcie Scarlett were awarded with a Distinguished Service Award for non-members from the Wyoming Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (WIAAA) at a luncheon on Tuesday in Casper during WHSAA statewide meetings. The WIAAA and JCSD#1 are grateful for the service these two former educators continue provide to students in Buffalo and around the state of Wyoming. Your passion for and commitment to students and activities is outstanding - thank you for all that you do!

The Boys and Girls Club breakfast was special for the Bison football and basketball teams. They had the opportunity to be motivated by Coach Carter as he shared his philosophy on life.
Congratulations to these 8 students who have been selected to participate in NAfME All-Northwest. These 7 choir and 1 band students will travel to Spokane in February.
CONGRATS to Bison senior, Tommy Wonka, on signing his National Letter of Intent to compete for the Coyote Swimming & Diving team at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD next year. As a Bison, Tommy competes in football, swimming & diving and soccer at Buffalo High School. Go Bison!
CONGRATULATIONS to the Lady Bison Swimming & Diving team for a 3rd Place team finish at the 2024 WHSAA 3A State Swimming & Diving Championships in Cheyenne! The Lady Bison scored 118 pts and tied with Kemmerer. Assistant Coach, Heather Moses, was voted as co-3A Assistant Coach of the Year by the Wyoming Swim Coaches Association - Go Lady Bison!

Student Council had their seatbelt awareness event, Click It or Ticket. They handed out around 115 Lifesaver passes for students and staff wearing their seatbelts and 57 “tickets” for those who did not! Thank you for the reminder, Student Council!!
The BHS CREATE club took their annual fall arts trip to Casper where they experienced the Harry Jackson exhibit at the Nicolaysen Museum. They also had the opportunity to create an original pottery piece! Advisors Kira Wages and Ryan Rivera had a great time with their students.
