Congratulations to the Kaycee High School Student Council for a great homecoming week. The student council is made up of Kate Maxwell, Kasey Pryor, Payton LeDoux, Cade Malson, Levi Wight, and Cruz Garcia. They worked hard organizing a Macho Man volleyball tournament, Powder Puff football game, dress up days throughout the week, the voting for homecoming royalty, organized the parade and float building on Wednesday, the presentation of the royalty before the high school football game on Saturday, and finished off the week with a fall festival and fun at the school on Saturday evening! The fall festival was attended by 27 Kaycee students. The Student Council would also like to recognize all the other people who made the week awesome: Ken Richardson with the Johnson County Sheriff Department for leading the parade, the Powder River Fire District for bringing trucks and drivers Mia Mondeau Anita Bartlett. The Kaycee General Store and Grass King Cattle Company for donating the hamburger for our taco bar at the fall festival, Jack Tarter for loaning out his convertible corvette for the King and Queen to ride in during the parade and for Mark Wilson volunteering to drive it, the Kaycee Elementary Cheerleaders for being involved, all the teachers for helping the students create some of the best floats we’ve seen in recent years, the elementary for being part of the crowd, Mr. Evans for his support of all the activities and announcing at the games, and Mrs. Pavey for helping chaperone the fall festival with student council sponsor Mr. Sipe.
